Professional PDI/ADI Training Agreement

1. Data Protection & Privacy In accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR, we will not share your personal data with any third party, except where required by law (e.g., Police or regulatory bodies). We hold all data securely and will never publish your name or image without your explicit written consent via email. Jeni is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

2. Cooling-Off Period. You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking. If you wish to cancel during this time, you may do so in writing for a full refund. Refunds will be issued within 5 working days

• Early Start Waiver: You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking. If you wish for your training to commence within this 14-day period, you expressly request that we begin training immediately. By commencing training early, you acknowledge that you are liable for the cost of any training sessions delivered. Furthermore, you acknowledge that by receiving training, you waive your right to the 14-day cooling-off period for the training sessions already provided. Any refund requests made after training has commenced will be calculated based on the balance of unused hours at the single hourly rate.

3. Payments & Bookings All training must be paid for in full at the time of booking to secure the booking

• ADI/ORDIT Courses: Due to the requirement to arrange a PDI participant (who takes time away from their own work), we require a minimum of 7 working days' notice for any bookings.

4. Cancellation & Notice Periods To ensure fairness for all instructors and trainers, the following notice periods apply for cancellations or rescheduling:

• Individual Sessions: 72 hours’ notice.

• Full Day Courses: 7 days’ notice.

• Weekly Courses: 14 days’ notice.

• Cancellations made within these windows are non-refundable as they represent a genuine pre-estimate of loss, including instructor costs and lost training opportunities.

5. Training Location

• Location: All training is conducted from Gosport or the Isle of Wight unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Professional Standards & Safety

• In-Car Camera: Jeni utilizes an in-car camera for training and safety. You are welcome to provide your own SD card for your records. The camera /SD card are NOT left in the car overnight. The SD Card is reformatted each day to ensure any footage is deleted unless you request the footage

• Safety: Jeni reserves the right to withdraw the use of the training vehicle at any time if she reasonably believes your driving endangers yourself, other road users, or the examiner.

• Conduct: Training will be terminated immediately and charged at the full rate if there is evidence of alcohol or drug influence.

Welcome to Jeni's Driving Education – Learner Terms & Conditions

We are so excited to help you get your independence on the road! To keep things running smoothly, safely, and fairly for everyone, here are the "rules of the road" for both of us to follow.

1. The Statutory 14-Day Cooling-Off Period & Early Starts

• Your Right to Change Your Mind: Under consumer law, you have a statutory 14-day cooling-off period from the day you book and pay for your lessons. If you change your mind during this time, just let us know in writing and you’ll get a full refund.

• ​

• The "Let's Get Started" Waiver: If you want to jump right in and book a lesson that takes place within those first 14 days, that is absolutely fine! By expressly requesting to start your training early, you agree that you are liable for the cost of any lessons actually delivered. If you decide to cancel after starting, you will be refunded for the unused hours, but the sessions you’ve already taken will be deducted.

2. Cancellations & Keeping on Schedule

• 24 Hours’ Notice: We know life happens, but your lesson time is reserved exclusively for you. If you need to rearrange or cancel a lesson, please give Jeni at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, the lesson will unfortunately still be charged at the full rate, as it doesn't leave enough time to offer the slot to another pupil.

3. Safety, Health & Conduct

• Fit to Drive: Your safety is Jeni's absolute priority. You must hold a valid UK provisional (or full) driving licence and bring it to your first lesson.

• The Serious Bit: The lesson will be cancelled immediately and charged at the full rate if Jeni suspects or knows that you are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that affects your driving safety.

• In-Car Camera: Jeni utilizes a secure in-car camera for safety and training purposes. You are always welcome to bring your own SD card if you’d like to keep a copy of your progress!

4. Logistics & Your Test Day

• Pick-up and Drop-off: If you need to change your usual pick-up or drop-off location, please ask Jeni at least 48 hours before your lesson. Because Jeni schedules pupils back-to-back, unexpected detours might not be possible!

• Using the Car for Your Test: Jeni loves seeing her pupils pass, but providing the car for a practical test is strictly subject to you reaching the required safe driving standard. The car must be booked in advance, and Jeni reserves the right to withdraw the use of her vehicle at any time if she feels your driving would endanger yourself, the examiner, or other road users.

5. Jeni’s Promise to You

• Roadworthiness: Jeni promises that the training vehicle will always be dual-controlled, fully insured for learner tuition, and completely roadworthy.

• Punctuality: If Jeni is running late due to traffic, she will always text you before your lesson start time.

• The "No-Show" Guarantee: In the highly unlikely event that Jeni fails to turn up for a scheduled lesson without letting you know (excluding major emergencies like being in a road traffic collision or hospital), your next lesson is completely free!

• Data Protection: Your data is safe. We will never share your personal information with anyone else unless required by law (like the Police), and we will never post your passing photos or name on social media without getting your email permission first.
